Sinenhlanhla Ngwenya was born in Pietermaritzburg and grew up in Vryheid, a small town in Northern Kwazulu Natal. She is a second year journalism student at the University of Johannesburg and is a reported for The Open Journal, a student led publication in Johannesburg. She is a sports journalist and currently branching out into investigative journalism.
