Phiwe Mathe has extensive and varied leadership experience gained at the University of Free State (UFS) covering multiple portfolios including SRC President (2013/2014), Residence Committee (RC) Chairman, RC Finance, Mentorship and executive member in multiple student associations/clubs.
He participated as a panelist at prestigious events organised by the Mangaung Metropolitan Municipality, in the Anti-Racism Network in Higher Education (ARNHE) and the British Council.
He has extensive social sector and Public sector volunteer experience covering Justice, Education, and Health Care across the Free State Province and working with the Free State Provincial Department of Education and The UFS Institute for Reconciliation and Social Justice.
He is an experienced debator, adjudicator, and mentor, who has an interest in current affairs, sport, travelling, strategic planning and reading.
Phiwe holds a BA in Governance and Political Transformation (UFS) and currently works as a Research Assistant at the Institute for Reconciliation and Social Justice.
